A woman hands a recently cleaned coat to its owner at the University Laundry at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Appalachian State first offered school laundry services to women only in 1914-1915, before which Mondays were designated laundry day and no classes were held. The University Laundry was located in the Services Annex, built 1949, and handled services for Appalachian State, including departments and residence halls. It ceased operation in the early 1990s. Sign above Laundry door reads, "Please don't 'BORROW' the pens and pencils...they are for everyone."
