This image shows some people being led on a tour through a newly opened Lowe's® hardware in Boone, NC, as part of an event sponsored by the Center for the Study of Private Enterprise at Appalachian State University (1967-current). The group stands outside the store, listening to a man give a speech. In the window is an advertisement reading, "Put Yourself in the Winner's Circle." The Center was established in 1978 to provide programs for high school economics teachers.
