This image shows two elementary school children standing beside a skeleton at one of the participating schools in the Triple-T Project in the 1970s. The sign taped onto the locker door reads, "Do not mark on skeleton." The Training for Teacher Trainers (Triple-T) Project was a grant-funded program at Appalachian State University (1967-current) to retrain teachers already in the work force, using new methods for teaching teachers with students in actual classroom situations. It was part of a group of educational research projects including the Appalachian Training Complex, the Lighthouse School Program, and the Teacher Corps.
