In April 1956, Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) hosted its third annual one-day business conference for business teachers in the auditorium at I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950. Conferences had one special guest speaker from an outside institution, seen sitting behind a typewriter, who specialized in a field of business education, who would speak to teachers and students for a single session. Appalachian State business education faculty can be seen standing behind him.
