Blue Ridge Views - Smoky Mountain Hike #1

In this installment of the Blue Ridge Views project, the W.L. Eury Appalachian Collection presents footage from a May 17, 1991 hike in the Smoky Mountains. In this segment, mountains in view are identified and people comment on hiking in the Smoky Mountains. The hikers join hands around a poplar tree of record size. A man discusses stream life and examines a caddis fly larva. The segment also features views of vegetation, a stream and a waterfall.
